<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel marker for nephropathy. <P>SOLUTION: The applicant finds that EG5 having a function of carrying a biological molecule can bind normal podocin and is present locally at a kidney tissue, and thus the EG5 can be a novel marker for nephropathy. There are provided: a method for inspecting the nephropathy using the EG5 as a marker; and a method for screening a therapeutic agent for nephropathy comprising the step of selecting a substance for enhancing mutual action between the EG5 and the podocin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
