PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately recognize a borderline in a borderline recognition device for recognizing a borderline indicating the end portion of a travel area where an own vehicle travels.SOLUTION: A borderline recognition device is configured to recognize a borderline by using a plurality of cameras and laser radars using different optical methods (S130), and to acquire environment information indicating information related to an environment surrounding the own vehicle (S110, S120), and to select one or more cameras and laser radars to be used in the case of recognizing the borderline from among the plurality of cameras and laser radars in accordance with the environment information (S140). The borderline is recognized by using the plurality of means using the different optical methods, and the means to be used in the case of recognizing the borderline is selected in accordance with the environment information. Thus, it is possible to recognize the borderline by adopting the optical method suitable for the recognition of the borderline for each environment. Therefore, it is possible to more accurately recognize the borderline. |
