An online mediation system and method for direct book dealing are provided. The system comprises: a mediation management server which includes a member information DB for storing member information, a book information DB for storing book information, and a payment information DB for storing payment information; a registration module which receives at least one deal type selected from free, lending, sale, and sale after lending by a supplier, and receives a deal condition and book information; an inquiry module which provides the book information and a member information of the supplier in response to a search request of a demander, and waits for selection of the demander; a subscription module which receives deal type of the selected book among the book information, and transmits a subscription application to the mediation management server; an approval module which provides the member information of the subscription-applying demander to the supplier, and receives the subscription application approval or reject option; a payment module which offers an amount of payment according to the deal condition, receives payment information input from the demander, and approves the payment; and a delivery module which receives delivery information of a book or reception confirmation. |
