<p>PURPOSE:To enable an operator to execute a simple input operation with his single hand by providing a movement input control means, which controls movement of a pointer by rotation in the free direction, on the face opposite to the face where an information display part including the pointer is arranged. CONSTITUTION:A device main body 11 is held by a thumb 101, an index finger 102, and a middle finger 103 of a right hand 100, and a click button 13 is so arranged that it can be operated by the index finger 102 of the right hand. When a pointer 6 will be moved in the X-Y or V-W direction, a rear face 3B of the device main body 11 is pressed to a table and the right hand 100 is operated in the corresponding direction in this state to move the device main body 11. As the result, a mouse ball 14 provided on the rear face 3B of the device main body 11 is rotated, and the rotation of the mouse ball 14 is transmitted to a mechanism in the main body, and the pointer 6 is moved in an information display part 2 in the same direction as the main body by an extent corresponding to this extent of movement. Then, the operator selects an icon 4 or menu bar 5 on the information display part 2.</p> |
