PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium composite metal oxide that maintains an excellent capacity retention rate even when used for a secondary battery that is driven with a high voltage.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a lithium composite metal oxide represented by general formula: LiNiCoMnDO(0.2≤a≤1.5, b+c+d+e=1, 0<e≤1, D is at least one selected from Fe, Cr, Zn, Ca, Mg, Zr, S, Si, Na, K, Al, Ti, p, Ga, Ge, V, Mo, Nb, W, La, Hf, Rf, Sn, p b, Sb, Bi, Cu, Hg, Ag, p d, Ir, p t, and Au, 1.7≤f≤2.1). The lithium composite metal oxide has a surface part that comprises at least Ni, Co and Mn, with a composition ratio of Ni, Co and Mn represented by Ni:Co:Mn=g:h:i (where, g+h+i=1, 0<g<1, 0<h<c, d<i<1) and also has an M containing film (M is at least one selected from Sn, p b, Sb, Bi, Cu, Hg, Ag, p d, Ir, p t, and Au) on the surface. |
