A key shank inhibiting unit for use to prevent an intoxicated person from accessing their vehicle that comprises of an attachment and locking shackle 20 and an automated time lock system. The shackle will preferably fit over the key and join with the housing, preventing the key from being used. The unit may include an electronic circuit that can be programmed by the user before intoxication as to the length of the time delay for the shackle assembly to unlock. The unit may preferably cater for the various types of vehicle key such as flip type and solid shank. |
