A display apparatus is disclosed. The display apparatus comprises an input part receiving an image from at least one input source; a storage part storing a program for performing an electronic blackboard function; a display providing a screen with the electronic blackboard function; and a processor providing the image received from at least one input source to at least one area of the screen as a background, performing the electronic blackboard function on the entire screen including the background. Accordingly, the display apparatus displays images received from various external input sources as a background, and performs the electronic blackboard function to improve user convenience.
