Disclosed in the present invention is a method and device for cell reselection for a terminal relating to the technical field of wireless communications, and the method comprises the following steps: when performing cell reselection according to the signal quality of the serving cell or the service performance, a terminal acquiring a first neighboring cell list from the system side; selecting neighboring cells satisfying a cell reselection condition from the first neighboring cell list; if none of the neighboring cells in the first neighboring cell list satisfies the cell reselection condition, the terminal performing active search, obtaining another neighboring cell satisfying the cell reselection condition, and camping on the such neighboring cell. The present invention enables a terminal to actively search an optimum cell existing around and camp on in the case of weak signals, and is beneficial to improve wireless performance and user experience. |
