The present invention relates to a faucet used to control water quantity and temperature at a necessary rate by receiving cold water and hot water. The cold and hot water independent control type faucet independently discharges cold water and hot water through an outlet after controlling only the water quantity of the cold water and the hot water supplied into the faucet in a distribution cartridge without discharging mixed water through the outlet after mixing the cold water and the hot water in the distribution cartridge mounted on the faucet. Moreover, the faucet discharges the water through the outlet after controlling the water quantity through an independent transmission path without mixing the cold water and the hot water individually supplied to the faucet in the distribution cartridge; thereby not generating a back flow due to a pressure change caused by a different water pressure of the main faucet in the distribution cartridge mounted on the faucet. As such, when a user controls the water quantity of the cold water and the hot water discharged from the faucet, the water quantity is not changed due to the water pressure of the main faucet; thus providing safety and convenience for the user, by the faucet, to continuously use the water of a desired temperature. |
