The present invention relates to a screw conveyor-type molding sand cooling device which cools molding sand used in casting work to recycle the molding sand. The screw conveyor-type molding sand cooling device comprises: a transport pipe formed in a cylindrical shape in which molding sand is cooled; a hopper disposed to insert the molding sand into the transport pipe; a screw blade disposed in the transport pipe to move the inserted molding sand by rotation; a mesh net to sift the molding sand moved from the screw blade to discharge the molding sand; and a solid coolant to cool the molding sand when the molding sand is moved through the transport pipe. Accordingly, the screw conveyor-type molding sand cooling device can efficiently cool the molding sand in a simple and compact form compared to conventional water-cooling and air-cooling molding sand cooling devices. In addition, scrap metal can be reused in manufacturing the solid coolant, which is environmentally friendly.
