The present invention relates to a flame retardant polyester foam and a producing method thereof. A flame retardant polyester foam according to the present invention is produced by the followings: a step of producing a flame retardant polyester resin by polymerizing a flame retardant of 5,000 to 20,000 ppm based on phosphorus and a multifunctional cross-linking additive of 5,000 ppm or less; a step of drying the flame retardant polyester resin; a step of producing a melt resin melt-mixed by more adding the multifunctional cross-linking additive into the dried resin: and a step of foaming the melt resin by adding a foaming agent into the melt resin.
