<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of accurately and easily reading a document with a wrinkle to digitize it. <P>SOLUTION: An image reading device comprising a housing provided with a reading plate on which a document is placed and a document cover plate for pressing the document to the reading plate comprises image reading means 11 for reading an image of the document placed on the reading plate via the reading plate.
