PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device that inhibits occurrence of conveyance error resulting from a change in transmission of drive force to a maintenance part during a recording process.SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises: an idle emission process (S16) in which a recording process is performed containing a plurality of unit operations (12) for causing a conveyance part to convey a sheet by a predetermined line feed width in a conveyance direction and for causing a recording head to emit ink to the sheet, a carriage is brought into contact with the switching part of a second area during unit operations, and the recording head is caused to idly emit ink; and a lever return process (S15) in which the carriage is moved up to the position where the switching part reaches a third area. |
