<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of preventing occurrence of wrinkles on a recording medium due to transportation, and further to provide a meandering correction method.SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises: transportation means transporting a long recording medium W; meandering detection means 3 detecting meandering of the recording medium W transported by operation of the transportation means; transportation detection means detecting the recording medium W being transported; and control means individually controlling the transportation means, the meandering detection means 3 and the transportation detection means. The control means controls a feeding shaft projection 215 of the transportation means so as to perform meandering correction processing correcting the meandering when the meandering detection means 3 detects the meandering and the transportation detection means detects the recording medium W being transported.</p> |
