The present invention relates to a latch assembly for a vehicle, allowing a seat or the like of the vehicle to be assembled to or disassembled from a chassis. The latch assembly comprises: a base having a receiving groove allowing an external striker to be inserted; a catch and a pawl rotationally coupled to the base to lock and unlock the striker received in the receiving groove through a mutual operation; a cover allowing the catch and the pawl to be received between the cover and the base and supporting the catch and the pawl; and multiple shafts passing through the base and the cover to support rotation of the catch and the pawl. The base and the cover have multiple base through-holes and multiple cover through-holes, respectively, into which the multiple shafts are inserted. In a state that the multiple shafts are inserted into the catch and pawl to rotationally be supported, both ends of each multiple shaft are inserted into the through-holes of the base and the cover, respectively, to protrude from the exterior and are riveted such that a flange part is formed to cover the exterior surfaces of the base and the peripheries of the through-holes. Therefore, the number of total parts can be reduced, and the assembly process can be simplified, thereby assembling the latch assembly. |
