Provided is a device for extending the universal serial bus transmission distance. The device comprises a transmitting end device (3), a receiving end device (4) and a cable (5). The transmitting end device (3) and the receiving end device (4) each comprise a USB reception processing unit (1000), a USB transmission processing unit (2000), a USB interface unit (3000), an extension cable transmission processing unit (4000), an extension cable interface unit (6000) and an extension cable reception processing unit (5000). The cable is formed in a long-distance mode. A management package of the device transmits status information between the transmitting end device (3) and the receiving end device (4). One or two channels are selected for communication in the device. In the device, by means of data format conversion, USB-format data that needs to be transmitted is converted into a format suitable for transmission in the long-distance cable at the transmitting end, and the USB-format data is recovered through inverse conversion at the receiving end, so that the transmission distance is extended. |
