PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate press-fit of a collar to a piston rod after assembly completion of a shock absorber.SOLUTION: Whirl-stop is executed to a piston rod 2, a collar 3 is fitted to a small-diameter part 2a provided at an end part on a side extending from the cylinder of the piston rod 2, a press-fit jig 30 is screwed into a male screw 2d formed in the small-diameter part 2a, and axial force is applied to the collar 3 from the press-fit jig 30 to press-fit the collar 3 to a press-fit part 2b provided in the piston rod 2. |
