<p>An arrangement for cooling transmission fluid, comprising: - a cooling device (41) for cooling the transmission fluid by means of heat exchange with a cooling medium, - a fluid pump (43) for generating a flow of transmission fluid through the cooling device, and - an electronic control device (44) for controlling the pump power output of the fluid pump. The fluid pump is controlled, in dependence upon the temperature of the transmission fluid, according to any of a plurality of different selectable control states, which comprise: - a first control state, in which the fluid pump is kept turned off or run at minimum pump power output, - a second control state, in which the fluid pump is run at a pump power output that corresponds to a variable setpoint value, and - a third control state, in which the fluid pump is run at a higher pump power output that produces a fluid flow for maximum cooling of the transmission fluid in the cooling device. The invention also concerns a motor vehicle comprising such an arrangement, and a method for controlling such an arrangement.</p> |
