PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of stabilizing the response performance of a collision detection sensor. SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure comprises front side members 2, 3 extending in the back and forth FR of a vehicle body and arranged in the vehicle width direction W, bumper beams 41 coupled with fore ends 2a, 3a of each front side member with a part thereof being projecting upward of the front side members, collision detection sensors 32, 33 located on a rear side of the vehicle body from the bumper beams 41 and coupled with reinforcing members 30, 31 fitted to the front side members 2, 3, and collision load transmitting means 34, 35 facing the bumper beams and the collision detection sensors 32, 33 in a deformation area N of the bumper beams located forward of the vehicle body from the collision detection sensors.
