PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system that enables a sufficient increase in engine output and a prompt increase in a temperature of cooling water even when electric power to be supplied to a battery is limited.SOLUTION: When the inside of a cabin is heated, if a cooling water temperature of an engine 10 is equal to or lower than its threshold value, a control device 17 increases output of the engine 10 and the cooling water temperature. Even when the temperature of the cooling water of the engine 10 is equal to or lower than the threshold value, if electric power to be supplied to a battery 14 is limited, an electric power conversion system 15 is controlled to consume electric power generated along with the increase in the output of the engine 10 by using electric power consumption means for consuming electric power. Thus, even when the electric power to be supplied to the battery 14 is limited, the output of the engine 10 can be sufficiently increased and the temperature of the cooling water of the engine 10 can be promptly increased. |
