PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing device boasting high rotational accuracy by enhancing accuracy in the clearance width of a radial bearing clearance. SOLUTION: The fluid bearing device 1 comprises a bearing member 5 and a rotation body 2 having a shaft member 3 inserted in the inner periphery of the bearing member 5. Each of radial bearing clearances C1, C2 formed between the inner peripheral surface 5a of the bearing member 5 and the outer peripheral surface 3a of the shaft member 3 has a narrow part D1 with a small clearance width and a wide part D2 with a large clearance width, and the narrow part D1 is arranged on the center-of-gravity G side of the rotation body 2. At least a region, facing the radial bearing clearances C1, C2, of the bearing member 5 is provided as an electroformed part 6 formed of deposited metal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
