EMERGENCY REPORTING DEVICE AND EMERGENCY REPORTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency reporting device and emergency reporting method for making an emergency report without user's operation when someone is kidnapped by using a means of transportation.

SOLUTION: The device comprises: a radio circuit part 3 for making communication with a radio station by using a radio signal; a fading pitch detection part 604 and moving speed acquisition part 605 for detecting the moving speed of its own device; an emergency detection part 606 for determining that an emergency has occurred when the moving speed detected by the moving speed acquisition part 605 exceeds a preset threshold value; and a report processing part 607 for having the radio circuit part 3 transmit to the radio station an emergency reporting signal indicating the occurrence of the emergency when it is determined that the emergency has occurred.
