<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming and displaying the element image of a stereoscopic image for a stereoscopic image display device which has only to require small data capacity, small memory capacity and short processing time, which are made constant, when forming the element image for obtaining the stereoscopic image comprising a plurality of three-dimensional display elements, and the natural stereoscopic image can be observed, and to provide the stereoscopic image display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the stereoscopic image display device having a micro convex lens two-dimensional array 1 and a two-dimensional image display device 2 installed on the focal plane of the micro convex lens two-dimensional array 1, three-dimensional display pixel data comprising pixel position information and pixel color information, which are the component elements of the stereoscopic image, is successively selected, and the element image of the stereoscopic image is formed or displayed on the two-dimensional image display device 2 with the color information of a pixel group in a projection area of the selected three-dimensional display pixel data to the display surface of the two-dimensional display image device 2 as the color information of the three-dimensional display pixel data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
