PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occupation volume in a hydraulic shock absorber from being increased beyond necessity when fixing a bump stopper to the head end part of a cylinder body in the hydraulic shock absorber. SOLUTION: This fixing structure of the bump stopper is constituted with the hydraulic shock absorber constituted by inserting a rod body 2 into the cylinder body 1 to come in and out, and with the bump stopper 10 for letting a bump cushion 3 held on a rod body 2 side collide fixed to the head end part 1a of the cylinder body 1 at the most contraction operation time of the hydraulic shock absorber. A cylindrical part 12 continuous with a rear surface of a receiving part 11with the bump stopper 10 opposed to the bump cushion 3 is press-fitted into an inner side of the head end part 1a in the cylinder body 1.
