<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light source device without generating abnormal light emission nor degrading luminance. <P>SOLUTION: This edge light type planar light source device provided with at least a light source, a light guide plate and a holding member for holding the light guide member is so structured that at least one projecting part or recessed part is formed on a side face part other than a light entering part of the light guide plate; the light guide plate is held in a predetermined positional relationship by the holding member provided with a recessed part or a projecting part fitted to the projecting part or recessed part of the light guide plate; and a light absorption means is formed on a surface part facing to at least the light entering part of the light guide plate within the surface of the recessed part or the projecting part formed on the holding member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
