<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed fault recovery system stably recovering a fault in the L2 network at a high speed without inhibiting effective utilization of an interface of an L2 switch. <P>SOLUTION: Optical cross connect units (OXCs) 3, 4 are arranged between the L2 switches (L2SWs) 1, 2. When detecting an occurrence of a fault in a line (1), the L2SWs 1, 2 temporarily shift a traffic of the line whose fault is detected to another line (2) to which link aggregation (LAG) is set. When detecting the occurrence of a fault in the line (1), the OXCs 3, 4 switches the line to a restoration line using a standby line (3). Thereafter, the L2SWs 1, 2 carry out line switch-back using the LAG to restore the line by the LAG setting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
