[Class 81 (ii)] A throat guard for protecting the entrances to the air and food passages while allowing passage of air or administration of an�sthetics comprises a tube a of rubber or other flexible material and a member b forming a flange approximately at right-angles thereto which is shaped to fit the inside of the mouth. A pad c of the same shape may be slipped over the tube and held against the flange by bands. It may be of compressed cottonwool covered with gauze. The member b may be detachable. The tube a may be connected to any instrument for administering an�sthetics or gas such as air. |
