PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process by which a backing board for display with paper laminated on both sides that has a bonding strength strong enough for practical use between the paper and the foamed board and a small variation in adhesivity across the board, even when the amount of use of the adhesive is relatively small is manufactured with a high productivity. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing process of a backing board for display comprising coating adhesive 102 on both the top and back surfaces of polystyrenic resin foamed board 100 and laminating paper 103 on them, surface active agent 101 is applied in advance on the coating surfaces for adhesive 102 of polystyrenic resin foamed board 100, and then adhesive 102 is coated, and paper 103 is laminated.
