PURPOSE:To avoid an erroneous decision by transmitting twice repetitively a transmission control code representing the start fo text and deciding it as the start of text when a transmission control code representing the start of text repeated twice from the reception data at the reception section is detected. CONSTITUTION:A transmission section transmits twice repetitively a transmission control code representing the start of text of transmission data as (DLE STX DLE STX) and when the reception section detects the transmission control code (DLE STX DLE STX) from the received data, it is decided as the start of text. Thus, even if the transmission control code representing the start of text in the reception data has an error, the code of the same bit pattern as the transmission control code representing the start of text in the transmission information is not decided erroneously as the start of text.
