PURPOSE:To reduce differences in noise in among turning directions, by arranging shoulder side transverse grooves opened to shoulder side grooves and having a predetermined length, and crown side transverse grooves in a substantially line-symmetric relationship, in shoulder side ribs and crown side ribs. CONSTITUTION:A crown groove 2 and shoulder grooves 5A, 5B having bent parts 3, 4 are formed in the tread surface of a tire so as to form crown side ribs 7 and shoulder side ribs 9. Further, in the bent parts 3 of the shoulder groove 5A, shoulder side transverse grooves 13 and crown side transverse grooves 14 which extend toward the crown side ribs 7 and the shoulder side ribs 9, are formed at predetermined pitches, having the center lines 13A, 14A thereof making angles theta1, theta2 with respect to the tire center axis X set to 10 to 40 deg. so as to obtain substantially symmetric straight grooves. The lengths of the transverse grooves 13, 14 are set to be 30 to 75 % of the widths W1, W2 of the shoulder side ribs 9 and the crown side ribs 7. With this arrangement, it is possible to differences in noise among turning directions. |
