PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance and weathering resistance and reduce the accommodation space for a air bag by forming the basis cloth for forming the air bag body from the woven fabric which is made of synthetic resin and whose inner surface side consists of a silicone rubber thin film. CONSTITUTION:As for an air bag 1, a pair of circular basic cloth 3 and 4 are joined at a seaming part 5, and expansion-developed by the pressurized gas supplied from an inflator 2. In this case, each basic cloth 3, 4 is formed from a woven fabric (a) which is made of the synthetic resin such as polyamide resin and has a silicone rubber thin film (b) arranged on the inner surface side. On the outer peripheral surface on the outer side surfaces of each basic cloth 3, 4, each silicone rubber coating film 3a, 4a is arranged. The peripheral edge part of each basic cloth 3, 4 is seamed each other by a seaming thread 6. Therefore, even if the pressurized gas having a high temperature is supplied into the air bag 1, the thermal deterioration of the silicone rubber thin film (b) is prevented, and each basic cloth 3, 4 can be surely protected. |
