The meter has an electrical counter module (10) and an adapter platform (12) connected with a remote controlled circuit breaker (24). The counter module and the adapter platform comprise coactive bidirectional interface components (16, 18) for transmission of data and control commands from the counter module to the adapter platform and vice versa. The interface component (18) of the platform is connected with an interface component (22) in the platform. The component (22) is provided for receiving and/or transmitting the data and the control commands over a remote communication channel.
