PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meter the gross mass or loading mass of a vehicle at a relatively low cost and in high accuracy. SOLUTION: This metering device contains a first rotating part 15 joined to a propeller shaft 10 for transmitting driving force F generating in a driving part to a tire; a first pulse generator 11 for generating the number of pulses proportional to the rotating angle of the first rotating part 15 and having a first detecting part 16; a second rotating part 17 joined to the propeller shaft 10 at a distance to the first rotating part 15; a second pulse generator 12 for generating the number of pulses proportional to the rotating angle of the second rotating part 17 and having a second detecting part 18; a driving force computing part 19 for computing the driving force F based on the phase difference between pulses D1 and D2 generated in the first and second pulse generators 11 and 12; an acceleration computing part 20 for computing running accelerationαof the vehicle accelerated by the driving force F based n the pulse signal D2; and a mass computing part 21 for computing the mass MS of the vehicle based on the driving force F and the running accelerationα.
