The method involves determining characteristic for air in a lighting device i.e. headlamp, by sensors that are positioned inside the device. External air is brought in the device, where characteristic for the external air is determined by the sensors. Verification is made whether the external air is better or worser than the air in the device or a critical value. More external air is brought into the device, when the external air is better than the air in the device or the critical value, and vice versa.
