The device (10) has an openwork sleeve (5) whose base (6) is closed, where the sleeve is introduced in a filling orifice of a fuel reservoir through a mouth (1). A part is supported on an upper face (2) of the mouth, and another part is inserted in the mouth, where the latter part is supported on a lower face under the action of a traction unit. The latter part is positioned in periphery and at an exterior of the sleeve, and the former part has a section that is identical to a section of the mouth.
