PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the risk of losing teeth, and to provide a kit used therefor. SOLUTION: The method for evaluating risk of losing teeth which detects genetic polymorphism of NFκB gene, and the kit used for the method are provided. The method for evaluating the risk of losing teeth, wherein the genetic polymorphism of NFκB gene is rs2281583 or rs2295587 that has a specific base sequence. The genetic polymorphism of the NFκB gene can be detected by a known method, such as, ASP-PCR (Allele Specific PCR) method which is based on the DNA extracted from a sample obtained from an examinee.
