PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement of a transparent electrode pattern, which reduces alignment irregularity due to a direction of forming an inorganic alignment layer. SOLUTION: The transparent electrode pattern 7 constituting liquid crystal elements is inclined at a prescribed angle in accordance with a direction of forming a columnar structural body determined by a location on a mother substrate 14. Thus, in the liquid crystal elements, the direction of forming the columnar structural body and the injection direction can be made to be the same direction. Accordingly, the injection can be performed under the optimum conditions in all the liquid crystal elements within the mother substrate 14, and the alignment irregularity due to the direction of forming a vapor deposition alignment layer composed of the columnar structural body can be reduced.
