PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dug Kotatsu having high heating efficiency for intensively heating near knee joints at an upper front side of legs put inside of the dug Kotatsu, and being manufactured at low costs with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A heater 41 for a top surface, composed of one heater wire 41a is disposed on an under surface 4a of a top portion 4 of this dug Kotatsu 1. The heater 41 for the top surface is constituted in such manner that wiring density at a central portion 42 of the under surface 4a of the top portion 4 is higher than that of a peripheral portion 43 of the under surface 4a of the top portion 4.
