摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle drive controller and control system, which recognizes a rotating direction of a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor for driving a vehicle even when a railway vehicle travels by inertia without providing a rotational-angle sensor in the permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor for driving the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The railway vehicle drive controller has: a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor for driving a vehicle; a power conversion means for supplying AC power to the permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor; a plurality of electric-motor voltage detection means for detecting at least two line voltages between the power conversion means and the permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor; and a rotating-direction calculation means for calculating a rotating direction of the permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor from a line voltage of a permanent-magnet induced voltage generated by the rotation of the permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor while using as input, the output of the plurality of electric-motor voltage detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
