<p>In an energy scalable OFDMA energy metric baseband design for an OFDM transmission process operable using a QoS-guaranteed adaptive resource allocation algorithm, the improvement of effecting power savings and memory access reductions comprising: generating quality-energy metrics using a modem quality manager module by: a) means to keep track of the number of repeats from the backend turbo decoder, RCE, type of resource block allocation, and CQI; b) means to determine the length of cached-FFT and the length of interpolator; and c) means for scaling computational resources with system QoS parameters to effect power savings and memory access reductions.</p> |
