摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption involved in detecting the posture of an imaging device in a mode in which a photographing operation is not performed. SOLUTION: The imaging device having a first mode for performing a photographing operation and a second mode for performing no photographing operation detects the positions of a correction optical system including an element to be driven to be driven in a direction intersecting an optical axis and the element to be driven, determines, in the first mode, a target position at which the element to be driven should be driven, performs feedback control of a driving means so as to drive the element to be driven to the determined target position in accordance with the detected position of the element to be driven, and detects the posture of the imaging device in accordance with a change in the position of the element to be driven due to gravity acting on the element to be driven. In the second mode, it changes the target position determined so as to come close to the changed position of the element to be driven.
