PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye composition which exhibits a beautiful appearance having pearly gloss and luster and is excellent in use and stability without using conventional lustering agents. SOLUTION: The hair dye composition includes 0.1-10 mass% of (A) a specific long chain acyl sulfonate-type anionic surfactant, 0.25-25 mass% of (B) an aliphatic alcohol with 12-22 carbon atoms having a straight or branched alkyl chain, 0.05-3 mass% of (C) succinoglycan, and (D) dyes and/or natural pigments.
