PURPOSE:To obviate the generation of Mach bands by segmenting a necessary range from the gradation data stored in a memory means in accordance with the initial values and final values of inputted halftone percentage. CONSTITUTION:The sizes and directions of the gradation are inputted by an input means 1 of this device and thereafter, the initial values and final values of the gradation halftone % of the halftone per cent of Y, M, C BK are inputted; further, the patterns of respective colors are inputted. An image processing means 3 computes and segments the necessary range from the gradation data which has no Mach bands and is previously registered in the memory means 2 in accordance with the initial values and final values of the respective colors. A layout magnification is calculated in accordance with the inputted sizes and directions and the segmented data is subjected to variable power processing in accordance with this magnification. An output means 4 outputs the formed gradation data. |
