PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring the operation state of a positive displacement machine having no error even if the number of data is reduced by removing noise from a signal introduced into a computing unit. SOLUTION: In the operation state measuring method of the positive displacement machine for determining components of signals related to a stroke cycle in the positive displacement machine in the operation state, and determining a signal showing the operation state by synthesizing them by the computing unit 17, the signal related to the stroke cycle is a signal subjected to two processing, namely, filtering processing by an LPF (low-pass filter) 14, and sampling processing for sampling in the gate width based on the TDC of combustion.
