<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse AC system static eliminator in which high insulation is not required for a primary step-up circuit typically configured of a transformer. <P>SOLUTION: In the static eliminator 300, the output line 326 of a positive polarity high voltage generation circuit 306 is connected to the ground side of a negative polarity high voltage generation circuit 308, and high voltages of positive polarity and negative polarity are applied alternately to a common discharge electrode 304.
