<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method or a kit for culturing human pluripotent stem cells while maintaining an undifferentiated state more efficient than a conventional method. <P>SOLUTION: The pluripotency of stem cells is maintained in high efficiency regardless of the proficiency of culture technique of an experimenter when (a) human pluripotent stem cells are cultured in a first medium being an activin-containing medium for pluripotent stem cells, (b) the first medium is replaced with a second medium being an activin-free medium for pluripotent stem cells and the human pluripotent stem cells are cultured, (c) the human pluripotent stem cells are subcultured in the first medium, and then successively the steps (b) and (c) are repeated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
