<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical centrifugal separator having a high rotation speed and adapted to centrifugal separation in a batch system. <P>SOLUTION: In a vertical centrifugal separator performing centrifugal separation by a batch system and including: a cylindrical rotating tube which has a supply opening of treated liquid formed at a lower part side and a discharge opening for separation liquid subjected to centrifugal separation at an upper part side and which is rotated about a vertical axis during the execution of centrifugal separation; a casing in which the cylindrical rotating tube is rotatably contained around the vertical axis; a supply device for supplying the treated liquid to the supply opening of the cylindrical rotating tube; and a drive device for rotating the cylindrical rotating tube, a body part of the cylindrical rotating tube has a structure of three layers or more having cylindrical metal disposed at an inner circumferential side, a fiber reinforced plastic coated on the outer circumferential surface of the metal; and a coat layer covering the surface of the fiber reinforced plastic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
