<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set importance on which determinations of a degree of risk and a degree of urgency are based, in a log message. <P>SOLUTION: A log management system includes a configuration information storage part, a log gathering part, an influence degree calculation part, and an importance setting part. The configuration information storage part stores configuration information including information associated with connection relation among a plurality of network devices included in a network or traffic of distribution through the network devices. The log gathering part gathers log messages associated with the network devices. The influence degree calculation part calculates the influence degree of each of the devices that represents how much a fault or performance deterioration of the network device influences the network based upon the configuration information stored in the configuration information storage part.
