The present invention relates to a remote position detecting apparatus, and more particularly, to a remote position detecting apparatus for a multi-turn actuator that is capable of detecting an opening/closing position of the multi-turn actuator opening/closing a remotely located valve. According to the present invention, the remote position detecting apparatus includes: a multi-turn actuator generating a rotary force by operating oil supplied from a hydraulic pump to open and close a valve; a first hydraulic breaker disposed on a first hydraulic line connected to the multi-turn actuator so as to block the supply of the operating oil to the multi-turn actuator when the valve is fully moved to the open state; a second hydraulic breaker disposed on a second hydraulic line connected to the multi-turn actuator so as to block the supply of the operating oil to the multi-turn actuator when the valve is fully moved to the closed state; a solenoid valve connected to the other end of the first hydraulic line and the other end of the second hydraulic line and stopping the supply and collection of the operating oil if the first hydraulic breaker or the second hydraulic breaker is blocked; a first pressure gage disposed between the first hydraulic breaker and the solenoid valve and detecting the complete open state of the valve if a first hydraulic value generated from the first hydraulic line is over a predetermined pressure threshold value; and a second pressure gage disposed between the second hydraulic breaker and the solenoid valve and detecting the complete closed state of the valve if a second hydraulic value generated from the second hydraulic line is over the predetermined pressure threshold value.
