PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: methods of improving x-ray and/or metal detectability in thermoplastics when used for a mold or the like and in processes; and articles produced by the methods.SOLUTION: There is provided an article comprising a thermoplastic composition comprising: 0 to 95 pts.wt. of polycarbonate; 5 to 100 pts.wt. of polysiloxane-polycarbonate; and 0.01 to 10 pts.wt., based on combined 100 pts.wt. of polysiloxane-polycarbonate and polycarbonate, of an x-ray detectable or metal detectable X-ray contrast agent comprising X-ray scattering atoms with an atomic number greater than or equal to 22 and having good magnetic permeability and/or electrical conductivity.
